Fairy
This colour mood started with a painting (see centre moodboard) made by Helen Downie, alias ‘Unskilled worker’. She is one of the great Instagram sensations of our time. At the late age of 50 years, she began posting her drawings and was soon discovered by Gucci designer Alessandro Michele. He invited her to draw his collection, a request which resulted in a magnificent series. In the meantime, Helen Downie has almost 180,000 followers. The cold pink and pale blue combined with a deep, dark colour is captivating. A modern, fairy-tale like feel, that could provide inspiration for an interesting, innovative trend in interior decorating.
