A tribute to Humboldt, brought to life with Ralston
In the picturesque town of Goldkronach, Germany, a remarkable project was completed in the spring of 2025.
Titled “Grenzenlos” (Boundless), this vibrant mural on a residential building does more than just beautify the street, it tells a story of unity, heritage, and pride. The artwork honours Alexander von Humboldt, who was born in this very town, and reflects a message of openness and connection.
A project with purpose
Commissioned by the City of Goldkronach, the goal was to bring more colour and culture into the urban landscape. The result is a striking piece of façade art that invites both residents and visitors to pause and reflect. The project was executed by Volker Wunderlich, a skilled painter who approached the work with passion and precision.

The project ran from April to May, and was completed on schedule, despite the challenge of creating a large-scale mural with artistic precision.
