It\u2019s found in fashion, accessories, interior decorating, and in art, and it was one of the colour combinations with a strong presence at the 2014 Milan Design Week. This fascinating trend has drawn much inspiration from the \u2018True Colours\u2019 series by Lex Pott.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-e3c3652 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e3c3652\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-1e73ed5\" data-id=\"1e73ed5\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5e86bb4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5e86bb4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2>True colours of Lex Pott and Stacking Vessels of Pia Wustenberg<\/h2><p>Lex is a Dutch designer who experiments with various oxidation processes on panels of copper, brass, aluminium and steel which produces <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lexpott.nl\/work\/6-true-colours-panels.html\">dramatic colour imagery<\/a>.\u00a0Copper oxide reflects in many shades of blue, the patchiness of which helps to beautifully meld together all the different hues. In an interior setting it is most effective to work with large surfaces, enhanced with copper accents.<\/p><p>In Germany, design artists Pia W\u00fcstenburg had a similar inspiration when she created her \u2018Stacking Vessels\u2019: a series of vases made in 3 individual parts. They can be stacked on top of one another to create a beautiful object, rich in colour. Coloured glass, wood and copper are her materials of choice.<\/p><p>The authentic glow of copper sets the mood.
