Training course in professional, sustainable paintwork

In this interactive training course the participant learns to professionally diagnose the substrate and finished paintwork. What type of paint defects could arise and why? Which measures should be taken? The course offers a number of answers to these questions. Naturally you are invited to share your own practical examples.

The most important aspects of appraising, inspecting and diagnosing paintwork are addressed. Measuring equipment and paint systems identification are among the topics. After completing the course the participant will be better qualified to identify paint issues and have a broader insight of measures required. The participant can now further develop their skills and insights in practice. An excellent basis to become a paint technical adviser.

The training course has a theoretical and a practical component. After a general introduction on paint in relation to the environment and regulations, it is time for the practical part.

In the practice area, “het Palet” (the Palette) the participants will have the opportunity to practise with various measuring devices. Techniques for identifying different paint types are discussed. Various exercises based on practical examples are completed to help identify damage to substrates. Substrate properties and possible building issues are discussed.
